Tina Fey, Sofia Vergara & Jane Lynch Top Our Emmys Best Dressed

At last night’s Emmys, colors were the trend, specifically red, black and blue. Another big trend was subtle make-up and minimal jewelry. Let’s break down some of the memorable looks.

Blue Ladies. Winner for Writing 30 Rock‘s final season, Tina Fey, stunned in a colbalt blue Narcisco Rodriguez. Fey’s co-star, Jane Krakowski, donned a teal gown with turquoise jewels. Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, dazzled in a light blue Kaufman Franco, accessorized with a gold cuff and earrings. Girls star Allison Williams wore a simple royal Ralph Lauren dress, Roger Vivier shoes, Christian Louboutin clutch, and Fred Leighton jewels. Edie Falco opted for an electric blue piece by Escada.

Ladies in Red. Homeland‘s very pregnant Morena Baccarin was radiant and glowing in rouge, Charlotte Olympia heels and Fred Leighton jewelry. Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory went for sexy with a burgundy sheer number from Vera Wang with a Jimmy Choo clutch, and Neil Lane jewels. Sofia Vergara was va-va-voom in a deep red gown also from Vera Wang and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Christine Baranski, nominated for The Good Wife, flaunted her body in a bright-red dress.

The colorful, shimmering gals. Carrie Preston, winner for her work on The Good Wife, wore an elegant pale rose Romona Keveza dress and Open Hearts by Jane Seymour jewelry. Breaking Bad‘s Betsy Brandy wore a two-toned sparkling gown and gave her hair height to match the color segments in the dress. Julia Louis Dreyfus, who won a second Emmy for Veep, stunned in a silver Monique Lhuillier dress, Christian Louboutin pumps, Edie Parker clutch, Martin Katz earrings, and Lorraine Schwartz ring. Alyson Hannigan  How I Met Your Mother, wore an aubergine Marchesa gown and bag, Jay Carlile jewels, and Roger Vivier shoes.

Classic black & white (and pale pink). Nominees Jane Lynch and Christina Hendricks looked sexy in black. Lynch went for an edgier look, by sporting a suit without a blouse. While Christina accented her body in all the right places in this Christian Siriano robe. Anna Gunn, Outstanding Supporting Actress for Breaking Bad, dazzled in a black and nude pink Romona Keveza ensemble. Game of Thrones stars, Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke, were sensational; he in a three-piece tuxedo, and she in a goddess Donna Karan Atelier gown. Oh, and for those gentlemen with long curly locks like Kit’s, take note: slick them back.
