At this year’s Young Hollywood Awards, recording artist Dev showed her unique style on the red carpet before she hit the performance stage with one of her songs from her latest album “The Night The Sun Came Up”. DEV’s hits include “Like a G6”, “Bass Down Low”, “Naked”, and “In the Dark”. This talented young musician has worked with big names, such as Enrique Iglesias, The Far East Movement and The Cataracs and can be heard in night clubs across the country.
Dev gave RCT reporter, Carly Steel, tips to rock both on and off the stage. For her red carpet look Dev was not afraid to get in touch with her “girly” side. For the Young Hollywood Awards she wore a vintage pink leather dress paired with silver heels and showed off her DIY dip dye hair. As for her on stage look, she told Steel that being comfortable is key yet she isn’t afraid to “step up the sexy”.
Her tips for achieving the “sexy” is to stay comfortable and to never get overwhelmed when vintage shopping, even if it means scaling down the shopping to a focus on accessories. She also gave us her secrets to achieve the perfect dip dye. Her trick is to only do small sections so that it does not bleed through and it will be easy to maintain. So, hit those vintage shops, find those perfect items and work on your own dip dye hair to achieve a rockin’ red carpet look!
