The Miz Dives Into His Love of Accessories

For somebody used to showing off his mad skills and minimalist outfits in the ring, viewed by millions of his fans, WWE star Mike ‘The Miz’ Mizanin knows the tricks of looking superstar stylish on the red carpet. The wrestler was all energy at the WrestleMania Premiere Party and fashion show by Hollywood Designer Charlie Lapson.

The Miz was joined by his beautiful girlfriend, former WWE wrestler Maryse, and his dapper canine friend, Flake, who came decked out in a tuxedo.

The WrestleMania party held on Star Island in Miami, was a celebration of art and fashion, highlighted by a runway show in which numerous WWE Wrestlers and Divas were styled by Charlie Lapson and Emilio Uribe.

Just as he did for the ladies, celebrity designer Lapson made sure The Miz was a standout on the runway. The wrestler modeled a Charlie Lapson watch from his exclusive collection, which then sold at the live auction for $5,000.  It was all for a good cause too, as the proceeds from the auction went on to benefit Alex’s Place, a Comprehensive Cancer Center that uses state-of-the-art technology to meet the specific needs of children.

When it comes to making a red carpet splash, The Miz relies on his better half to accessorize him and be his top accessory. “There is no greater tip than that,” he told RCT reporter Veronica Vergara. Walking the carpet alone, he is a knock out in his own right, but when he and Maryse come together, his persona really gets the chance to shine. The Miz claims to leave a lot of his styling to his girlfriend. “Let a woman pick out your outfit,” he says. For instance, Maryse chose the Louis Vuitton belt he was rocking that night. Small touches like that, a winning personality and, yes, the right date on your arm, all add up to make for a memorable red carpet appearance.

The Miz, who rose to stardom as a cast member on MTV‘s The Real World: Back to New York, is a former WWE Champion, a 3-time WWE tag team champion and a 2-time United States champion. He is currently filming a starring role in WWE Studio‘s The Marine: Homefront, set for a 2013 release date.
