“Style icon” Ginnifer Goodwin shares her Top Secrets

We already know that beauty Ginnifer Goodwin is stylish, but the ultimate proof is the Style Icon Award she won at the 2012 Young Hollywood Awards, which acts as the premiere destination for honoring the entertainment industry’s brightest crop of rising stars. In its 14th year, the ceremony celebrated the best emerging actors, directors and entertainers in Hollywood, recognizing their work and shining light on names to remember. Goodwin has appeared in several films, such as He’s Just Not That into You, Mona Lisa Smile and Something Borrowed and is currently starring in the ABC series Once Upon a Time.

Goodwin tells RCT reporter, Carly Steel, that she usually goes for vintage girly shapes with a modern twist. For the glamorous event she paired her white lace dress by designer Monique Lhuillier with a simple black Edie Parker evening clutch and freshened the look with pink nail polish and pink lipstick. Goodwin usually chooses either bright lips or bright eye shadow she tells RCT, for the award show she decidedly kept her eye makeup very simple. “For my red carpet confidence I always need some tailoring,” says Goodwin about her perfect red carpet wardrobe. “Everything should be adjusted to your body type.”

Her top beauty tip to keep skin fresh and young is to moisturize as much as possible and to stay out of the sun. When asked how she styles her cute shortcut hairdo she says “It’s all about blow drying it sort of messily, using a straight iron and throw a lot of products in it.” She added “The stickier, the better!” We’ll take your word on that!
