“The Academy tends to think that everybody watches to see who won Best Actress or Best Actor. The reality is, everybody’s watching to see what they were wearing.”

As a part of his universally glamorous life, Phillip also covered the New York and European collections for InStyle magazine as a contributing editor through 2005. In spring 2006, Mattel commissioned Phillip to give Barbie’s longtime love, Ken, a much-needed makeover.  As Phillip himself stated, It’s Matthew McConaughey meets Orlando Bloom– a quote that would become the New York Times Quote of the Day and Time Magazine’s Quote of the Week during the highly publicized launch.

In May 2011, after successfully serving as the third anchor for the “Royal Wedding” broadcast, ABC World News Now expanded Phillip’s role as a contributing correspondent beyond his fun and informative “Behind the Seams” fashion and beauty coverage. Phillip and ABC WNN Executive Producer Nancy Han developed a series of celebrity interviews called “Cause Celeb with Phillip Bloch.” These one-on-one interviews were created to shine a benevolent light on the Hollywood community by focusing on the foundations and charitable organizations that so many of Phillip’s celebrity friends are immersed in and passionate about.  As of Fall 2011, Phillip has finished 14 interviews on “Cause Celeb” and has brought important attention to a variety of noteworthy charity organizations such as: Fran Drescher’s “Cancer Schmancer”; Cee Lo Green and Duracell’s commitment to the “Power Those Who Protect Us” program, supporting the National Volunteer Fire Council; Jordin Sparks and VH1’s “Save the Music Foundation”; Andie McDowell’s and L’oreal’s “The Color of Hope” which helps fund the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund; Carmelo and Lala Anthony (Vasquez)’s “The Carmelo Anthony Foundation”; Ben Stillers  “Stiller Foundation” and “Worldwide Orphans Foundation”; and Christie Brinkley and Danskin’s “Move for Change” initiative whose charitable efforts go towards breast cancer treatment, eradication and awareness; as well as many other celebrities and their humanitarian efforts. Phillip is also a major force and very active member of The Creative Coalition, a nonprofit social and political advocacy organization of the entertainment industry.

Now, in between filming “Cause Celeb” on ABC and predicting fashion trends for upcoming seasons, Phillip wants to share with you all of his fabulous insider tips about style, premier exclusives with Hollywood’s chivalrous A-listers, and of course, shoes!
