Nick Zano definitely stood out at the GLAAD Hancock Park: Top Chef Invasion event with his Bailey of Hollywood hat and vintage sunglasses. The What I Like About You star made a big splash at the event which featured a cook-off with former Top Chef contestants, tasting stations from L.A. area high-end restaurants and a silent auction, but he was there for a more important reason than food. “I’m a strong supporter of GLAAD,” Zano said. “They are a great organization doing great things for people who need a voice.”
Zano, who appeared in shows such as 90210, Cougar Town and Melrose Place and hosted MTV‘s infotainment program Movie House, has a brand new movie coming out in September. He is starring alongside Channing Tatum and Rosario Dawson in the romantic drama 10 Years, directed by Jamie Linden. The actor describes himself as a food fan, but a bigger fan of GLAAD, which explains why the Top Chef Invasion was the perfect event for him. All the funds raised at the silent auction will be used for GLAAD’s efforts to support the LGBT community.
Zano revealed his top fashion and money saving tip to RCT reporter, Daniel Trainor. Rifle through your parents’ or grandparents’ closet for old sunglasses, put in new shades et voilà! Your vintage look is ready to roll!
