Nick Krause likes to do his “own thing”

Nick Krause has accomplished quite a bit at only twenty years old. Born in Austin, Texas, he attended his first college course at age ten (and passed). He decided acting was for him when he participated in an improv class, also at age ten. Krause graduated Georgetown High School early just to start filming his role in The Descendants.

He recently attended the 2012 Young Hollywood Awards for his distinguishing part in the film. Honoring the best of the entertainment industry’s emerging talent, the Young Hollywood Awards is the premiere event for rising stars. In its 14th year, the ceremony celebrated the achievements of young celebrities across various media platforms, drawing extensive attention from national and international press.

Krause starred in The Descendants alongside the likes of George Clooney, Amara Miller, and Shailene Woodley. The film won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, along with two Golden Globes for Best Picture – Drama and Best Actor – Drama, George Clooney.

While the role of Sid in The Descendants is a major break for the young actor, Krause has also appeared in other TV series and films including How to Eat Fried Worms and Hollywood Heights.

Krause rocked a Hugo Boss suit while remaining young looking, laid-back, and confident with a pair of dark jeans and dark shoes. Along with the suit, Krause donned a Beatles-esc skinny tie and 70’s retro styled shaggy haircut. When interviewed by RCT reporter, Carly Steel, Krause said he prefers boxers over briefs and that his red carpet tip is that he likes to do his “own thing”.
