Million Dollar Decorators star Martyn Lawrence-Bullard flew in from Rome just in time to attend the GLAAD Top Chef Invasion event in Hancock Park. “It is so wonderful to be here,” Bullard says. “[GLAAD] is such an amazing organization.” The event featured a cook-off between former Top Chef contestants, a food and wine-themed silent auction, and tasting stations from various high-end restaurants in the Los Angeles area. All of the proceeds went to support GLAAD’s mission to encourage the advancement and awareness of the LGBT community.
The wildly successsful intereior designer is a big fan of good food, so of course he couldn’t miss this opportunity. “I actually love Mexican [food]” he tells RCT reporter Daniel Trainor. According to Lawrence-Bullard, in England Indian food is big, but he “sort of swapped the Indian for the Mexican.” Something he certainly did not decide to do without is his excellent fashion sense. “I love John Varvatos‘s stuff,” he said, sporting a blazer by the designer. And those great sunglasses? Prada. He picked them up at a duty-free shop at the airport. Way to be effortlessly chic!
