Men’s Style: Statement Pieces and Color

Hollywood takes glamour up a notch during Oscar week. The event that stands out from the rest is the exclusive Night of 100 Stars Gala. This black tie dinner and Oscar viewing party is held at the famed Beverly Hills Hotel, and our red carpet reporter, Stacey Gualandi was there to capture it all.

Stacey caught up with Richard Grieco and Tommy Davidson. These stylish men personalize the black tie ensemble with statement pieces and color.

Richard Grieco has been modeling, acting and singing for over 20 years. This time in the spotlight has given him many opportunities to walk the red carpet and define his personal style.

Richard Grieco describes his personal style as very relaxed, but that doesn’t mean sacrificing fashion. Richard forgoes the usual tie for an assortment of accessories, in most cases, an array of necklaces.

Tommy Davidson is known for his silly antics, but on the red carpet he is full of sophisticated style.

Tommy Davidson is best known for his comedic timing on the hit 90’s show, In Living Color. Back then, he spent time working on his look and defining a presence. That work has paid off. On the red carpet at the  2012 Night of 100 Stars event, Tommy shined in his natural style adding warm colors to a crisp dark suit.

Tommy’s look is easy to recreate with a bold tie. Warm colors like bright and heavy hues of yellows, oranges, browns and greens stand out on those with olive and gold skin undertones. Pinks and blues look great on those with pink and fair skin tones. Like Tommy, it may take a bit of practice to master a style, but it is well worth it in the end.
