Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus Among the Golden Globes’ Best Dressed

Last night, the Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted Golden Globe Awards ceremony brought out the biggest names in film and television. That means all of Hollywood dressed to impress. Among the red carpet’s trends, we saw plenty of gowns in bright colors, metallic hues, the always classic, black as well as minimal jewelry. These were some of the showstopping looks.

Timeless in black.  Winner and one half of the hosting duo, Poehler, wore an asymmetrical Stella McCartney number. It was just the right amount of chic and sexy for Amy. The Good Wife leading lady Julianna Margulies sported a uniquely stunning black-and-gold Andrew Gn dress. Lily Rabe from American Horror Story: Coven,  graced the carpet with a Georges Hobeika dress, Jerome C. Rousseau shoes, a Lyle Alexandra clutch, and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Cate Blanchett, a winner for her work in Blue Jasmin, marveled in a tulle and lace black Armani Privé gown.

Shades of metallic. The following ladies sparkled down the red carpet. Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery looked flawless in a soft-metallic Oscar de la Renta piece, nude Christian Louboutin heels, and Bulgari jewels. Two-time Oscar winner Emma Thompson was gorgeous in a Lanvin black dress with a gold lace bodice and Christian Louboutin pumps. Mila Kunis opted for a gray Gucci halterneck ensemble and emerald encrusted jewels.

These gals weren’t afraid to wear color. Lupita Nyong’o, who gave a breakout performance in 12 years a Slave, was perfection in a scarlet Calvin Klein gown which featured an off-the-shoulder cape. Double-nominee, Julia Louis-Dreyfus also wore an electrifying red dress by Narciso Rodriguez, that showed off her killer body. Presenter Reese Witherspoon rocked a teal number from Calvin Klein Collection and Harry Winston jewelry. Scandal star Kerry Washington debuted her baby bump, in a custom made Balenciaga number and clutch, Fred Leighton jewels, a Movado watch, and Casadei shoes.

Together these women proved that sporting the right, bold dress with few accessories makes for an effortlessly memorable look.
