The music industry’s biggest names came out to play on a chilly night for the 2013 American Music Awards. The evening’s most common trend was the always classic black & white. These ladies (and one gentleman) gave us some of the best looks.
Glee alumna Naya Rivera was a total bombshell in a black Michael Kors dress adorned with a YSL vintage gold cuff. Naya, who recently released her single “Sorry,” was on board to present.
Pop-star songstress Katy Perry donned a black Oscar de la Renta with white polka dots and flowers. It was a youthful yet elegant look for Perry.
Ke$ha changed her party-girl image by wearing a Michael Costello creation, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and Rose Gold Jewelry. She also revealed her new, two-toned hair, and performed her duet “Timber” with the night’s host, Pitbull, live for the first time.
The ladies weren’t the only gorgeous ones in black. Dancing With the Stars hunk, Maksim Chmerkovskiy looked handsome in his dark suit. The professional dancer was there to join Jennifer Lopez in paying tribute to the Queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz.
Onto the women in white. Christina Aguilera displayed her newly trimmed figure in a Maria Lucia Hohan white gown. To complete her retro-glamor look, she paired it with Christian Louboutin pumps, a Jimmy Choo and Lorraine Schwartz jewelery.
“Wrecking Ball” singer Miley Cyrus stunned in a simple, yet sexy white Versus Versace pantsuit, shoes from Saint Laurent, and jewelry also by Schwartz. One of the night’s presenters, Nicole Richie, wore a tastefully risqué Emilio Pucci number, with sides cut-out.
They all proved B&W can be classy, glamorous, with just the right amount of sex appeal.
