Just when we thought Superbowl 50 couldn’t get any better- it just did. Beyonce is headed back to the Bowl after 3 long years! The megastar will reportedly join Coldplay during their Halftime show as a special guest.
For the big time fans, the good news is that you’ll probably get to see them perform their collab Hymn For The Weekend, featured on Coldplay’s most recent album, A Head Full Of Dreams, live. Though it’s unclear whether the two acts will perform together or separately, given the Super Bowl’s history of surprise and collaborative performances, it could certainly be on the table. We’re hoping for both!
Hopefully the staff at Levi Stadium will have the electricity on lock when Queen B gets up on stage (who remembers the #BlackoutBowl?)
Also expected to make an appearance during the show is Bruno Mars. The “Uptown Funk” singer is a halftime alum himself, having headlined the 2014 show.
“This is the greatest moment of our band’s life. We’re gonna give it everything we have” -Chris Martin
Superbowl 50 will air live Sunday, February 7th on CBS from the Levi Stadium in Santa Clarita, CA.
