Amara Miller’s Fashion Experiments

Amara Miller is a lucky girl. Besides having her debut in the award-winning movie The Descendants, she had the privilege to have it as George Clooney‘s on-screen daughter, Scottie King. Currently, she is filming the comedy series 1600 Penn, which is expected to premiere 2012/13, co-starring alongside Dharma & Greg‘s Jenna Elfman.

RCT met the 12 year old actress at the 2012 Young Hollywood Awards, honoring the best and brightest of the entertainment industry’s rising stars. Often referred to as the “Oscars of young Hollywood,” the event acts as a breeding ground for emerging actors, directors and entertainers.

Even though her character in The Descendants shopped mainly at Old Navy and wore shorts and T-Shirts every day, Miller is more an Anthropologie type of girl and likes to experiment with colors and patterns. “I like Anthropologie because it’s super creative and all their candles and their perfumes smell amazing,” she tells RCT reporter, Carly Steel. But in her opinion you should only mix patterns and different colors if you have an eye for it, which she definitely does as she proves with the stunning retro-inspired Anthropologie dress she wore to the awards show. “It’s fun to throw around some colors, but not too wild,” she says.
